Planting a Herbaceous Border with Tree Fern

This planting project was undertaken in Little Hallingbury, near Bishops Stortford. the project included tranforming the border of a back garden from turf to a interesting herbaceious border using plants such as hostas, ligularia, mixed ferns and other typical herbaceous plants and shrubs, to create a garden that can be enjoyed all year round. To prevent weed growth, a mulch of bark chippings and organic material was used.
